Our Audio/Video Team

  • Kacey Howell, Audio/Video Production and Research Specialist

Kacey Howell grew up in Oregon, tinkering with computers and excelling at video games. From an early age, he loved to take apart electronic equipment to see how things worked - though a lot of the time he couldn't get them working again! We are happy to say that Kacey has come a long way since those early days, and he’s quite the tech person now.

Kacey went to Chemeketa Community College and Western Oregon University, studying Computer Information Systems. He earned his Applied Baccalaureate degree in Information Systems in 2018. He enjoys helping people and loves to teach people how to use their electronic devices.

While in school, Kacey discovered he had an aptitude for grant writing, and he assisted many fellow students with grant applications. He is now a key member of CFTH’s research and grant-writing team, as well as a member of the Audio/Video team.

Kacey is grateful for the opportunity to do work that helps to make the world a better place, by providing uplifting and greatly needed material. When he’s not helping others with technology, Kacey loves to hang out with friends, play card games and Scrabble, cook, listen to music, and watch Formula 1.

  • Ryan Zimmer, Audio/Video Production

Ryan Zimmer grew up in Los Angeles, listening to a lot of music and playing clarinet in the school orchestra.  From a very early age, Ryan fiddled around with VCR’s and cassette decks, making recordings for fun.

He moved to Oregon at age 14. By the time he was in high school, he was already doing video production, recording sporting events and creating music demos. He even started his own video production business, called “Hi-Fi Video Productions,” and continued to run that business for almost 20 years. During that time, he recorded at venues such as U of O’s Beall Hall, WOW Hall, Autzen stadium and several local high schools.

In addition to his work with CFTH, Ryan currently does sound and recording for live events in and around Eugene, including local nightclubs, wineries, and the Saturday Market. He is also the treasured audio/video director at Unity of the Valley, where he simultaneously does in-person sound and live-stream production for all of their services.

Ryan is grateful for the opportunity to do work that helps to make the world a better place, by providing uplifting and greatly needed material. When he’s not recording, Ryan loves to hang out with friends, play card games and Scrabble, cook and listen to music.
