FAQ

Q. I work at a prison in Oregon and would like to see if it makes sense to hold one of your workshops here. Who should I contact?

Use this email form to send a message with your contact details. Our Executive Director, Laura DuBois will reach out to you. Thank you for your interest!

Q. Is Connecting from the Heart a religious organization? Are you promoting a particular doctrine?

No. Unlike many prison ministries, ours is not based on religious doctrines or dogmas, and we do not promote a particular set of beliefs. We are guided by new thought principles and are open to all religions or no religion. We have a deep belief in the power of individuals to redirect their lives toward happier outcomes. We teach principles and tools to assist people in their own transformations.

Q. Does Connecting from the Heart operate nationwide?

No. At this time we are operating only in the Pacific Northwest, primarily in Oregon.

Q. How do you tell if you are achieving results?

The feedback we receive from inmates is compelling, even overwhelming at times. In fact, two released inmates now assist us in our work. You can see some of these letters here <link>. We have also received phenomenal feedback from correctional facility staff.

Q. What do you do with the donations you receive?

CFTH operates on a very thin budget with hardly any staff salaries. The vast majority of funds received go to the direct costs associated with delivering workshops. The support of numerous volunteers enables us to do as much as we do!
